A high-spirited celebration workshop honoring Constitution Day was held in the Legal and Public Affairs Academy with government and American History classes joining in. Ms. Risa Berrin from the University of Miami Law School’s Center for Ethics and Community Service explored individual rights with attending ‘Cudas. Academy members Debbie-Ann Cassandra Campbell, James Louis Hatcher, Jaleesa Katrice Hall, Dawn Adrian Reeves, Nicholas Tyler Apathy, Brittni Irene Reaser, Anthony Marcus Gutierrez, Janay Aziza Freebourne, Danelle Dominique Juste, Lauren Ashley Peterson, Kevona Shante Richardson and John Anthony Mena participated in exploring 13 fundamental rights including due process and equal protection. With the invasion of space aliens, the academy students had to debate and decide until just one fundamental right was agreed upon per the aliens’ instructions.
